Organisation: Ainsley Teenage Action Group (ATAG), Nottingham

Issue: In trouble with the police; nowhere to go; not listened to by adults

The situation: Original members of ATAG were contacted 20 years on to find out what they felt had changed as a result of their involvement in the group. Their goals included helping members help themselves, gaining awareness of policies and decisions affecting lives, improving facilities - including getting a youth club - and improving their image in the community.
