Heather Stevens and Rod Norton have joined The Agency, with Stevens as head of policy and Norton as head of development programmes.
Stevens, a qualified solicitor who worked in Northern Ireland's civil service for 12 years before joining the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister as head of human rights, will be helping to steer The NYA's policy development and programme implementation. She brings excellent insight into the operation of government and has a broad background in relation to the myriad issues for children and young people, in particular those surrounding workforce skills and training.
Norton, a professionally qualified training manager, has worked within youth services since 1993, firstly as a youth officer for Sheffield City Council and later as head of service at Rotherham Young People's Service, where he was responsible for the strategic management of the entire service.
