The unique database has been designed and developed by The NYA in partnership with the youth service field to provide a consistent framework for the electronic recording and analysis of management information. It enables youth services to structure data on inputs and outputs - including expenditure and staff hours, but also local data on areas such as reach, participation and accredited outcomes for young people.
Pilots have proved so successful that demand for technical support started to outpace The NYA's capacity to respond, but the new arrangements will mean that experienced support staff will be available during office hours by phone and online. A plan to help further improve the software will also be developed by a team involving user representatives, The NYA and Generic.
