The National Youth Agency: Full steam ahead for YouthBase system

1 min read
Although some training events surrounding The NYA's new YouthBase software have had to be postponed, the agency will announce new training dates soon.

YouthBase, a package that local authorities can use to collect useful data, has been piloted successfully and is now on sale. We are working alongside Generic Software Consultants on its development. Generic will operate a helpdesk service for YouthBase users, together with an online support service. The developers have been spurred by overwhelming demand from customers.

YouthBase can be used with existing data collection and informs management about the service as a whole. It brings together data by integrating quantitative information collected through contact with young people, with local authority data and aggregated information via The NYA. It contains fields to record outcomes of work with young people. New planning frameworks, such as those espoused by the Transforming Youth Work agenda, are taken into consideration.
