THE NATIONAL YOUTH AGENCY: Event to focus on young people's role instrengthening communities

1 min read

Aimed at the voluntary and community sector, it will be a chance to look at how well organisations work with young people on building cohesive communities.

Monica Hingorani, an organiser of the event and a Development Officer at The NYA with responsibility for community cohesion work, said: "The role of voluntary and community organisations in supporting young people is widely acknowledged. We are pleased to be hosting this event with the Government Office in the North East, and hope to identify ways in which we can support the traditions of the voluntary sector in meeting local needs."

For more information on the event and the work of The NYA on community cohesion, contact Monica Hingorani on 0116 285 3728 or email: monicah@nya.org.uk.
