Eurodesk is a network of information providers at national, regional and local level that deliver European information to young people and those who work with them.
Its partners offer a range of services to facilitate access to European information - free enquiry answering, help and guidance by telephone or in person, summaries of European programmes, publications, events and web sites. The Eurodesk Network acts as an information relay for the European Commission for the dissemination of European information for young people.
Most Eurodesks operate through youth information services and can be a useful addition to an already successful service. It currently operates in the 15 countries of the EU plus Cyprus, Norway, Iceland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Latvia and Poland.
Training in the use of the Eurodesk Database is being offered, which includes information on more than 150 European funding programmes and budget lines, together with the relevant contacts and documentation.
The training will take place in Leicester, in co-operation with The NYA, on 12-13 November 2003.
Please note, spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis and, in the first instance, only one member of staff will be able to attend from each organisation.
If you would like to attend the training, please contact Janice Billington at The NYA on 0116 285 3780.
