The National Youth Agency: Empowerment - Partners sought for youngresearcher network

1 min read
The National Youth Agency is about to launch the Young Researcher Network, to encourage and support young people's active participation in quality research.

It has already appointed Darren Sharpe as project co-ordinator. Darren, who brings research skills following his role at Loughborough University's Young Carers Research Group, takes up his post on 24 September.

The Network that he will head is seeking up to 15 partner organisations to form its basis - these organisations will work directly with young people aged 11 to 25 and have an interest in developing young people-led research.

The NYA will provide support to its partners over the next 18 months through its co-ordinator, plus relevant information and administrative support, and a small training and conference programme. Access to grants of up to £3,000 will be available for local research projects.
