Three grants of up to £3,000 each are available for local authorities to undertake short projects, funded by the agency's Young Researcher Network (YRN).
Run by the NYA as part of its work with the Local Government Association, the YRN is supported through topsliced funding for local authorities.
In order to be eligible, authorities must be working with a group of young people who are interested in youth-led research, with dedicated staff willing to support the group throughout and enable them to access and benefit from the opportunities that the YRN offers.
NYA policy manager Bethia McNeil said: "We would strongly encourage applicants to consider how they could link with their internal research teams to support and promote youth-led research within the council on an ongoing basis."
