The National Youth Agency: Consultation on skills development

The National Youth Agency is encouraging youth workers and their managers to play an active role in a series of events on the Skills Development Framework.

The Skills Development Framework aims to support local employers to cultivate integrated working skills within their organisations and across the young people's workforce. The framework is intended to inform the workforce about the skills and competences required for effective integrated working.

One of the events, organised by the Children's Workforce Development Council, takes place this week. Others are planned for 30 September in Solihull and 1 October in Leeds.

Early implementation of the Skills Development Framework is being reviewed until 10 December to test its usefulness. To get involved, visit the CWDC website at www.cwdcouncil.org.uk.

CWDC has commissioned Lifelong Learning UK to design and develop an Apprenticeship Framework for Integrated Youth Support for the young people's workforce and to consult with all parts of the workforce on the proposals.
