The events are taking place in London (28-29 November) and Leeds (12-13 December).
Getting Connected is a curriculum framework designed to help young adults on the margins of education and employment to reconnect with learning and foster their personal development. Aimed primarily at those aged 16 to 25, its framework - based around nine OCR-accredited units - is intended to enhance the self-esteem and emotional literacy of those young adults outside the formal education and training system.
The events should be of interest to everyone from youth workers to Connexions to colleges and e2e providers. They will stress the importance of good mentoring and help attendees to unleash the creativity of the young people they work with by using skills that tap into emotional intelligence.
