The Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) aims to identify missing areas in the existing guidance and make other areas clearer, such as how the Common Assessment Framework fits in with other assessments, and how integrated working fits in with safeguarding.
It also wants include new policy areas such as the electronic Common Assessment Framework, and the implications of the Children's Plan and the 2020 workforce strategy.
Hilary Ellam, head of integrated working at the CWDC, said: "It is vital we engage with the workforce to make sure the support we provide is as accessible and user-friendly as possible."
The council is running events in London in February and March to gain feedback on the guidance material and will reimburse travel and accommodation expenses. For more information on how to take part click here.
