
People often have a view that the impact of what they do can't be felt. But small changes can make all the difference. If we created competition between towns they would want to see which does best against targets for things like energy efficiency and recyling.
The whole household and the whole community needs to get involved in protecting the environment. And young people need to be involved - if we don't change in the next 30 years it is going to be too late.
I joined three other campaigners from Sweden, Indonesia and the Philippines to lobby world leaders at the UN climate change conference in Bali last year. At a side event I saw how young people can influence decision-makers. I also got quite emotional when I saw how bad the environmental situation is in other countries.
