The world

1 min read Social Care Participation
I would make the world a better place for disabled people and have more research into the causes of and cures for disabilities. However, as miracles are very rare, I would like to see changes in how disabled people are being seen and how they are treated.

Some changes that could be made are hoists in swimming pools, ramps that work on buses and trains, aisles in shops that are big enough for wheelchairs and improvements to facilities like lifts, toilets, tills and counters in shops and banks. Having ramps on every kerb and leading up to shops would make a huge difference. In theatres and cinemas, I would make more spaces available for groups of disabled people.

I would like everyone to be more understanding of people with hidden disabilities like autism. I would also make it easier for disabled people to access carers if they need them.
