We would all live in an eco-friendly environment. I would raise money to construct designated art walls where anyone could work freely on a large scale in the public environment without being accused of vandalism. People would be encouraged to express themselves visually using the local community as their canvas. I worked on an exciting project like this at school with the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment and the National Portrait Gallery. We worked with spray artists to create a huge portrait.
I would encourage large buildings to use photo-cells or solar panels to generate electricity. I would also commission artists to come to schools, hospitals and prisons to run projects to help people use their creativity in a positive way. Buildings would be painted better colours instead of the depressing shades of capitalism.
