How much is on offer: Charities can apply for major or minor grants. Major grants range from £5,000 to £25,000 and are awarded for national or regional projects. The trustees may make larger awards in exceptional cases. Organisations operating at a local or county level are eligible for a maximum of £3,000 through the minor grants scheme.
What it will fund: The trust supports charities operating in categories such as youth and education, general welfare, conservation and religion. Youth and education is the trust's largest area of activity and it has a particular interest in supporting projects that work with disadvantaged young people. The general welfare category covers charities that support young carers and families in need.
