Grants for charities working in the areas of penal reform

Funding Applications are considered throughout the year. Grants not exceeding £2,000 are assessed each month. Larger grants are awarded at the trustees' meetings held twice a year, normally in May and November.

Funder William Adlington Cadbury Charitable Trust was founded in 1923 by William Cadbury to further his charitable activities, which focused on social welfare schemes inspired by the Quaker faith.

Aim Grants are available for UK-based charities working in the areas of penal reform. Charities based in Birmingham and the West Midlands can apply for grants for a wider range of activities. These include social welfare projects such as community groups working with disadvantaged young people. Education and training, social projects associated with religious worship and arts, music and drama projects will also be considered.
