Funding A total of £1m of youth grants is available every year for charitable organisations that benefit communities and individuals in Cumbria and north Lancashire. One-off grants of less than £5,000 are also available for smaller charities run by volunteers. Recent examples of smaller grants awarded include a summer play scheme for children with disabilities and a 12-week crime-reduction initiative.

Aim To support charitable projects in music, the arts, and youth and social work in the northern counties of Cumberland and Westmorland.
Who can apply? Funds are available to projects that are effectively responding to identified needs from a specific group or community. Priority areas for funding include projects that nurture the development of children from birth to five years old, work that supports the transition from primary to secondary school and youth work projects for the most disadvantaged teenagers.
