Funder Baily Thomas Charitable Fund
Aim It was created to support research into severe learning disabilities. It offers research grants to voluntary organisations and also funds projects that assist young people and adults that have or are affected by learning disabilities.
Who can apply? Voluntary organisations that are either registered charities themselves or are associated with a registered charity can apply. The fund will not award grants to individuals, hospices, arts, theatre or advocacy projects, or projects working with young people who are physically disabled, unless accompanied by a learning disability. The fund is also unable to accept applications from projects that care for young people with dyslexia or a mental illness.
