Funding Watch: The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund

1 min read

What is it? The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund was created to support research into severe learning disabilities. It offers research grants to voluntary organisations and also funds projects that assist young people and adults that have or are affected by learning disabilities.

How much is on offer? The minimum available is £250 and the maximum is £4,000. The amount of money awarded is subject to several factors, including the project's purpose, how much funding it needs, and what other funds might be available. The fund usually gives one-off grants but will consider longer-term commitments.

What will it fund? The fund will cover the cost of activities such as play schemes, day and social activities, community improvement programmes, family support and respite, practical employment schemes, and building renovations.
