Teens try hand at photojournalism

Youth Work
Young people have been given the chance to produce a series of photographs focusing on the realities of unemployment.

Fourteen young people from the youth organisation Mediabox have worked alongside photographers at The Guardian newspaper to produce the images and select the pictures that matter the most to them.

The young people attended practical workshops at The Guardian's offices where mentors included the newspaper's head of photography Roger Tooth.

The most powerful images will be shown on the paper's website and may be used in the newspaper itself.
