Now in their fifth year, the Positive Images Awards shine a spotlight on the great work youth groups and individuals do within their communities to promote young people in a fair and balanced way. They recognise the contributions of media organisations that look beyond the stereotype of young people as "yobs" and "louts" and report on the many positive things they do.
More than 80 projects from across the country entered the 2010 awards, making it one of the most fiercely contested awards yet.
The winners include autism sufferer Charlotte Vicarage, who scooped the prize for Best achievement by a young person for creating a series of animations about the condition. After taking part in the ITV Fixers scheme, her films have been viewed online across the world and are helping to educate others about the realities of autism.
