The debate about how children and young people are portrayed in the media has gathered pace since the Positive Images campaign was launched five years ago.
A report last October from the UN's Committee on the Rights of the Child said the UK should "take urgent measures to address the intolerance and inappropriate characterisation of children, especially adolescents, within society, including the media".
Initiatives such as the government's £5.5m scheme to bring older and younger generations together in their communities, launched this year, suggest there is an awareness of the need to look at society's attitudes to our young people.
