My local clinic is open just one day a week for two hours, which I think is absolutely disgraceful. To top that off, young people feel insecure in themselves because so many people attend the clinic.
I would like to see maybe two or three health workers who have their own numbers for young people to get in touch with them whatever day of the week. Young people could then choose which health worker they would like to go to for help and advice, and in time they could hopefully build a strong relationship with the worker and confide in them. The workers could maybe meet with the young people and go for dinner or lunch with them, while having a conversation to make the young people feel comfortable.
