Two vans equipped with 30 laptops and a satellite dish will let Young Scot set up mobile cyber cafes in shopping centres, schools and community groups. Its satellite technology will let the agency take broadband internet services to rural areas.
The project, called SP@CE, has been funded by the Scottish Executive's Safer Scotland initiative with support from Microsoft and education technology firm the ABK Group.
Events will take place over the next 15 months and will be organised with youth services.
Louise Macdonald, communications director at Young Scot, said the project aims to support the agency's strategy of active citizenship and social inclusion.
