Young people from Wearside visited Paris this month to mark the 150th anniversary of the international arm of the YMCA.
The young people were all members of the Y Inclusion education programme, which works with 13- to 16-year-olds who have been experiencing problems in education.
The main anniversary celebrations will be held in August in Mumbai, India.
YMCA England is currently looking for young members to attend the event.
The World Alliance of the YMCA was founded 150 years ago, 11 years after the YMCA was established in England.
