Project notes: Shoot To Thrill, Taunton YMCA

1 min read

Goals: To create a film-making project to give young people a voice and to carry out a consultation on behalf of the YMCA

Funding: 700 for the 10-week project from Somerset County Council, Taunton YMCA and a local business, Thales

When Taunton YMCA wanted to find out young people's views on its services and activities, it mixed a little film-making into the process to get them engaged.

The project, Shoot To Thrill, was set up with the help of Phatgnat, a youth consultancy firm, to consult eight to 10 young people aged 14 to 19, who also got a chance to make a one-minute film about anything they wanted.
