The 13 staff from First Leeds worked alongside 12 young people from West Leeds Youth Inclusion Project on 12 May to tidy up land at the project's centre.
The team planted flowers, herbs and vegetables, which will be used in healthy cooking and gardening projects at the centre. The gardening challenge was arranged through Leeds Cares, part of Business in the Community - a scheme encouraging employees to volunteer.
Sonia Evers, project manager at West Leeds Youth Inclusion Project, said it had eight visits from volunteers from local firms over the past year and a half. She said: "It brings the young people and local business together and breaks down the barriers between 'us' and 'them' from the young people's point of view."
