Fosterline Wales - which will also provide advice to fostering services- is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and will be run by theFostering Network Wales. The service will provide information andconfidential advice on a range of issues.
Welsh Assembly member Helen-Mary Jones said the advice line would be"hugely valued" by the 2,000 foster carers in Wales.
"If children have already experienced setbacks that bring them intofoster care, then it is even more important to get things right -Fosterline Wales can make a contribution by giving independent advice,"she said.
