Social Care News: Wales - Assembley backs multi-agency work

Welsh Assembly members have unanimously backed a motion on multi-agency working in children's services.

It calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to address the need formulti-agency working so that children's services "may be delivered in aneven, sustainable, consistent and planned way".

It also urges ministers to meet the needs of children entering the youthjustice system and says there should be "real independence" in advocacyservices.

The motion was part of a debate on last month's safeguarding vulnerablechildren report (Children Now, 10-16 May).
