Social Care News: Wales - Review to look at improving skills

The Welsh Assembly Government has outlined how it is going to improve the skills of the social care workforce.

A review by the Assembly Government puts forward 13 recommendations,including getting the Care Council for Wales to develop a learningpathway for the social care sector.

The Social Care Sector (Staff in Direct Care Settings) Skills Reviewalso calls on the care council to work with the Assembly Government toexamine the quality of learning delivered by independent trainingproviders.
