Social Care News: Social care stats - Bedfordshire

54% of looked-after children in year 11 achieved one GCSE at A* to G or a GNVQ in the 12 months ending 30 September 2004 (56.1 per cent in England)

23% of Year 11 looked-after children in 2003/04 were not in employment, education or training (22.2 per cent in England)

8% of looked-after children were convicted or subject to a final warning/ reprimand during the year to September 2004 (9.3 per cent in England)

79% of looked-after children's immunisations were up to date in the 12 months to 30 September 2004 (73 per cent in England)

In 2004 the Commission for Social Care Inspection gave Bedfordshire council a no star rating.
