The Da Spot centre in Hounslow is one of the first in England to bringall services for looked-after children under one roof.
It will support more than 500 children and house a team coveringeducation, health, youth offending, the voluntary sector and children'sservices.
Services will help young people develop self-esteem, improve school workand skills for work. There will also be services to help reduce teenagepregnancies and increase health awareness.
Racheal Ireton, Hounslow Council's participation officer on looked-afterchildren, said: "We made sure young people were involved indecisions."
The centre's launch follows the recent opening of the Futures centre forcare leavers (Children Now, 27 September-3 October).
