Social Care News: Looked-after children - Charity to continue binbag campaign

A National Voice is to continue its anti-bin bag campaign since not enough local authorities have signed its pledge to stop using the bags.

The "This is Not a Suitcase" campaign calls for the use of rubbish sacksto transport looked-after children's belongings to stop.

A catwalk protest with models dressed in outfits made out of bin bagslast October was to be the campaign finale. But Children Now has learnedthat another fashion show is planned for October this year.

It will be held at the Tate Britain gallery in London to coincide withthe Turner Prize. The fashion show will run alongside an event toshowcase the talents of young people in care and young people who havebeen in care.
