The Scottish Executive has published a report highlighting the needs of young people with learning disabilities and autism.

Changing Childhoods? was produced by a committee looking at how toimplement The same as you?, the Executive's learning disability review,which contained recommendations on improving services for people withlearning disabilities and autism.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Executive said: "The main aims of thereport are to highlight how the needs of children and young people withlearning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders should beaddressed by policy and practice for all Scotland's children. The reportdoes not recommend further policy or legislation, but sets out elementsof positive practice that encourage and enable agencies to provide theright support for these children and their families."
