Scotland: Web discussion to shape manifesto

The manifesto, to be based on the 10 areas covered by each of the parliament's subject committees, started life at the organisation's general meeting in Shetland on 19 and 20 August.

Members made a list of about 100 aspirations, which they will whittle down over the next few weeks. Issues including culture, justice and health will be discussed on the organisation's web site for one week each, and items will be adopted if half of young people back them. The manifesto will be produced in March.
