Scotland: First minister contender sets out stall on youth

Stephen, the leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, has published a consultation paper proposing a 'Future of Scotland bill', which will include a range of policies to improve young people's lives.

The bill has three aims: to ensure young people have genuine access to power and a set of rights; that there is enough local and national provision to guarantee proper youth representation; and that young people have access to a range of core services and activities.

Stephen is consulting youth organisations on the proposed bill in the run up to the Scottish elections in May. If elected, his government would consult more widely to ensure young people have a chance to shape the policies.
