Scotland: Children will help map area activities

The kits, which will be piloted before general release, will enable Scottish children and young people to map activities in their area, identifying what is and what is not available. They will send their findings to a named local official and the commissioner's office.

Kathleen Marshall and her team have pledged to identify local and national barriers preventing young people from accessing activities, hold meetings to address the issues and produce a report for the Scottish Parliament within two years.

Marshall launched her action plan at the Scottish Parliament last week, after consultations with children and young people and those working with them.
