Scotland: Authorities make plans to lower NEET figures

1 min read

The seven authorities, which were deemed "hot spots" for disengaged young people, were given until the end of next month to submit plans to the Scottish Executive outlining how they will spend the 800,000 they will each receive to tackle the problem over two years. In Inverclyde, a new team will be created, overseeing multi-agency work to provide more individualised support for school-leavers.
