In a private memo, Prince Charles expressed exasperation with young people who think they are qualified to do things beyond their technical capabilities. "People think they can all be pop stars, High Court judges, brilliant TV personalities or infinitely more competent heads of State without ever putting in the necessary work or having natural ability," he wrote.
Ask young people for their views. How much work or natural ability does it take to be a pop star, a judge or television personality? Do they know people who are unrealistic about what they can achieve in life? How can anyone be sure what their limits are?
