You don't get much bigger than Enjoying and Achieving. Is there any youth work it will not cover? Just the "being miserable and failing" sort. Achieve your own enjoyment with the quick guide.
1. Close observers of government policy documents will notice something familiar about the topic of Enjoying and Achieving. It is one of the notorious five key outcomes of the Every Child Matters agenda.
Recycling it as this year's Youth Work Week theme is environmentally friendly and should stop it ending up in a policy landfill site. What's more, it is fun.
2. There is no need to register or seek the national organiser's permission to make a Youth Work Week event happen. They are organised locally for local people. Size doesn't matter either. Some multi-element programmes take months of preparation and involve hundreds of young people. Others are one-off events run by relatively small groups of young people. The National Youth Agency would be glad to hear your plans though, and may be able to circulate details to others. Email timb@nya.org.uk.
