Resources: Quick guide to ... Comic Relief

2 mins read
Worthy silliness is on its way and this year's Comic Relief Red Nose Day on 16 March claims to be the biggest yet. This time the claim applies to the nose, not just the event. Big it up, with the quick guide.

2. Fundraising and having a laugh are the core of the Red Nose Day event. There will be stuff on the TV on the day itself. Before that, the DVD fundraising kit offers comedy clips from Ricky Gervais, Ali G, Peter Kay, Catherine Tate and Rowan Atkinson. Among new things on the web site this year is a chance to make a personal fundraising page, which could be a good focus for a youth group.

3. The Red Nose Day organisers do a lot to make things easy. They provide logos, posters, quizzes and stickers, as well as selling the noses and T-shirts from high-street shops. But never forget that what you do is your responsibility. Think through your plans and don't let fundraising fervour cloud anyone's judgment. If you plan house-to-house or street collections, or fundraising that involves gambling, make sure you know the law.
