How much is on offer: Organisations can apply for up to 2,000 ina year but must not spend more than 500 per individual youngcarer unless there are unusual circumstances.
What it will fund: Examples of one-to-one support that can be fundedinclude mentoring and therapeutic work. The money can also be spent onbuying-in mentors and other professionals or on the costs of addingthese services to the ones already provided.
Who can apply: The grants will go to up to 50 voluntary sectororganisations.
Organisations must be registered as a charity.
Who it has funded: The Paddocks project in Kent received 1,600 inthe first round of funding to use horses and ponies for therapeutic,remedial and educational activities. This funding is covering the costsof providing riding lessons, training for exams, competitions and socialgatherings for four young carers.
