This booklet gives parents and carers of children with autism practical strategies to deal with common behavioural issues.
Written by Fiona May, a former helpline adviser for the National Autistic Society, it gives an overview of the challenges that may be posed by the behaviour of children and teenagers on the autistic spectrum. Real-life examples are included to illustrate the progress made in a variety of circumstances.
The Hideout
The Hideout is a national domestic violence web site for children and young people. The web site informs them about domestic violence, helps them to identify whether it is happening in their home, and signposts them to additional support and information. Interactive checklists and games help children think through the issues. Safety measures are built into the site design to ensure children can access the site without putting themselves at risk.
