This guide for registered childminders and home-based childcarers provides advice on good practice for keeping children safe. It covers areas of danger in the house, including the kitchen, the garden, and toys and equipment, and includes checklists of things to do. It also explains how to talk to children about safety. Appendices set out the National Childminding Association's quality standards, and direct readers to other sources of advice about children's safety.
