The Michael Tippett Musical Foundation offers grants of between 500 and 4,000 to projects that improve the musical aspirations of young people. Projects should show that a range of participants will be involved. Applications must be received by 30 September. www.tippettfoundation.org.uk

The Childhood Bereavement Network has secured funding from The True Colours Trust to work towards its vision of all children who experience bereavement being able to easily access a choice of high-quality, evidence-based support to help them manage the impact of death on their lives.

Sheffield City Council's short breaks grants programme is open for applications until 30 September. It provides grants to families with severely disabled children to give them opportunities to access activities.
