Young members of a London youth mutual have commissioned a range of projects, including adventure trips and accredited courses, to help disadvantaged inner-city children undertake fun and constructive activities in the summer holidays.

The activities programme run by Young Lambeth Co-operative (YLC) last summer aimed to give young people access to experiences otherwise unavailable – for example, one recipient of funding was a winter sports charity that gave disadvantaged young people the chance to experience snow sports.
