What will it fund? The trust has two main criteria - first, work must have charitable aims, and second, it must benefit people in Greater London.
It generally does not fund local authorities, schools, the religious work of churches, or hospitals. Its main grants programme has five main priorities, one of which is children and young people, under which there are three further headings: preventive work in the area of violence, conflict and abuse; civic engagement of young people, including volunteering, peer mentoring and parenting skills; and helping young people in crisis.
The latter may cover drug and alcohol work, and support to young carers, homeless young people, young victims of crime and self-harmers.
