Resources: Funding focus - Mustard Seed Programme

1 min read

What will it fund? The Church Urban Fund has an overall mission to tackle major problems among poor communities, including "disaffected youth", equipping them to address local need and take control of their lives. The Mustard Seed Programme will pay for specific activities, not ongoing revenue expenditure. It is designed to help applicants "initiate, develop and formulate ideas" in preparation for larger pieces of work, so grants might cover ways of increasing capacity, preparing new plans, undertaking social audits and community consultation exercises and providing support to management committees and project leaders. Projects must be open to all, regardless of faith or anything else.
