What will it fund? As it is designed to support pilot projects that might then later be eligible for further funding, projects should fit in with one of the fund's main strands. These are: Growing Community Assets, which helps communities to extend their ownership or control of land, buildings or facilities; Dynamic Inclusive Communities, which encourages wider participation in decision-making and volunteering; Life Transitions, which focuses on support to those going through transitions in learning, employment or other aspects of life, especially younger and older people; and Supporting 21st Century Life, for projects that bring people together and help them deal with the pace of change in modern society. Investing in Ideas can fund a wide range of activities such as surveys, market research, business planning, feasibility studies, training, research, skills audits, professional fees and specialist environmental advice.
