What will it fund? As with all Big Lottery Fund programmes, projects must have clear outcomes but the parameters for this one are fairly broad.
The fund wants to support projects that give people the opportunity to achieve their full potential and that improve physical and mental health.
In addition, each successful project must either contribute to the reduction of poverty or promote tolerance and social inclusion. Getting more specific, there are six ways in which each project must do this: by improving essential skills; creating the opportunity for community-based learning; creating the opportunity for volunteering and engagement within and between communities; improving facilities; helping individuals and communities to make healthier lifestyle choices; promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing.
